Haddington entertained in form Bonnyrigg Rose in a Conference B match at Millfield last Saturday. Manager Joe Hamill was forced to make changes from the side that won easily against Tynecastle and he handed a debut to full back Gordon Harris signed after a successful midweek trial. The visitors dominated most of the first half and they made the breakthrough in the 23rd minute when the home defence failed to clear a free kick from the left. A freak goal in the 50th minute put Rose firmly in the driving seat. A mishit cross from the right wing looked to be going over the bar but ended up in the net. The home side kept plugging away but the Rose scored twice in a minute midway through the second half when individual errors cost the Hi Hi’s dear.
