After a few weeks away from home, the Hi Hi’s will be at Millfield the next two Saturdays. First up is a rematch against the students of Edinburgh University in a game kindly sponsored by Welch Fishmongers. This will be the first competitive game between the clubs at Haddington as the students plied their trade in the old East of Scotland League before joining the Lowland League. As that league became more competitive, the Peffermill club struggled for a few seasons before finally being relegated last season. Although they are currently in the relegation zone, their goal difference shows that they have been competitive in their matches. They ran Penicuik close two weeks ago and last Saturday they beat Glenrothes at Peffermill. When the sides met in Edinburgh back in September it took a Tom Davies goal in stoppage time to give the Hi Hi’s a 2-1 win. Expect another close encounter tomorrow as team boss Scott Bonar has a number of key players out through injury. Craig Reid and Tom Davies are definitely out while both Seamus Russell and Luke Kennedy are struggling with injuries picked up at Dunipace last Saturday. On the positive side, striker Grant Rose is free from suspension and will add a physical presence to the attack.
