The next three weeks will see Haddington travel to Fife to play what on paper looks like three difficult matches. The first two are against Hill O’ Beath and Crossgates Primrose in the Premier League then they will lock horns with Lochore Welfare for a place in the last eight of the League Cup.
Manager Scott Bonar will have his players fully focussed on this Saturday’s match when they meet Hill O’ Beath Hawthorn at Keirs Park. The Fifers are on the fringes of the relegation tussle but are fully expected to convert their games in hand into points. They have had some issues with their pitch in recent weeks due to the excessive amount of rain but they are hopeful that Keirs Park will host the game. These sides met in the first game of the season at Millfield back in July. Haddington’s introduction to the Premier League looked like it was going to end with a victory when Shaun Hill converted a second half penalty. However the visitors rescued a point when they scored from a corner in the closing minutes much to the disappointment of a big home support.
Once again manager Scott Bonar could be without both Guy McGarry and Seamus Russell. Joe Tait is also unavailable so changes will be made from the side that beat Lothian Thistle. With Premier Division safety not yet mathematically guaranteed both sides will be keen to take something from the match.
