Having won their last three games scoring twenty goals in the process, Haddington were expected to comfortably take care of Burntisland Shipyard at Millfield last Saturday. However it didn’t work out that way and the Fifers gave the home side a difficult 90 minutes. It took two Gordon Harris penalties to keep the points at Millfield. An early penalty conversion gave the Hi Hi’s the lead but Burntisland unexpectedly equalised just before the interval after slack play in the home defence. The visitors were more in the game after the break and missed a glorious chance to take the lead. However a rash challenge on Auriemma saw the referee point to the spot and Harris scored what proved to be the winner. The Hi Hi’s face another tricky encounter at Millfield on Saturday when they entertain Dunipace in a Conference A match. Dunipace inflicted a first defeat on league leaders Leith last Saturday and will be difficult opponents.
