The Hi Hi’s return to action this Saturday when they make the short trip to Dunbar to meet the Seasiders in an East of Scotland Premier League match. Haddington lost both league matches against tomorrows opponents last season and when the sides met at Millfield in September there were no goals in a fairly drab encounter. Manager Scott Bonar has had quite a few injuries lately but he is seeing some of his injured players gradually returning to full fitness. Central defender Craig Reid came through ninety minutes in a recent friendly and Tom Davies has returned to training. Long term injury absentee Mark McGovern has also been in action for the under 20s and is close to a recall. Skipper Nick Aitchison picked up an ankle injury in training and could miss out on Saturday. Midfield man Ali Simpson has missed the last few games with a knee injury and it may be well into January before he returns to competitive action.

Dunbar currently trail Haddington by nine points but they have a game in hand and with home advantage, they will be hoping to close the gap. However the Hi Hi’s have showed some resilience this season and they will be determined to fully test their county rivals.
