The draw for the first two preliminary rounds of the Scottish Cup were made at Hampden last Monday evening and Haddington could hardly have been given a tougher draw. The Hi Hi’s have been drawn against Auchinleck Talbot from Ayrshire, a side synonymous with cup success in their days in Junior football. The Ayrshire side are record winners of the Scottish Junior Cup and last season they finished up runners up to Beith in the West of Scotland Premier League. At least the tie will played at Millfield on Saturday 31st August and the visit of the Ayrshire side could well bring about a record attendance at the Haddington ground. Preparations have already started for what could be a memorable occasion.
