A decent Millfield crowd enjoyed both the sunshine and an entertaining ninety minutes, that saw the Hi Hi’s record their first ever win against Tayport. Both sides had hit woodwork before the visitors took the lead. However it was all square at the interval thanks to a tremendous 25 yard free kick from Andy Jones. Haddington went down to ten men on the hour mark when Chris Cairney picked up a second yellow card. But the Millfield side showed their fighting qualities and a sweet strike from top scorer Scott Moffat was a fitting matchwinner. Haddington retain second spot in the East Region Premier Division, and there should be a big crowd at Millfield on Wednesday when league leaders Musselburgh Athletic provide the opposition.
