The fight for second place in the Premier Division goes on after contenders Fauldhouse United and Haddington Athletic shared six goals in West Lothian last night. Despite difficult conditions both sides produced some good football. Once again manager Joe Hamill found himself somewhat short of bodies for various reasons but he was disappointed to leave with only one point. Both sides traded early goals with Andy Jones putting the visitors ahead, only to see the home side equalise four minutes later. Although both sides had chances it remained all square at the break. Fauldouse moved ahead in 48 minutes only to see Shaun Hill set up Andy Jones for the equaliser within two minutes. The home goalkeeper was harshly red carded in 64 minutes and it was advantage Haddington when Jones completed his hat trick from the resultant free kick. The Hi Hi’s missed several opportunities to extend their lead and paid the penalty when a defensive error in the 88th minute, gifted Fauldhouse the equaliser.
