Haddington entertained Gala Fairydean Rovers in the sweltering heat at Millfield last Saturday and both sets of players deserve credit for serving up an entertaining match in difficult conditions. Manager Joe Hamill had 20 players at his disposal and made numerous substitutions after the interval. A 42nd minute header from Ricky Miller, starting his second spell at Millfield, gave the Hi Hi’s an interval lead. Andy Jones added a second shortly after the interval but home goalkeeper, Craig Cockburn, was soon beaten by a low shot as Gala reduced the deficit. Under 20s player Tadgh Flanagan- Woodhouse looked to have sealed the win when he netted in the 76th minute but a couple of late defensive lapses saw Gala salvage a draw.

The Hi Hi’s continue their pre season programme when they meet Newtongrange Star at Whittingehame Drive this Saturday, kick off 1.00pm. Next Tuesday, Whitehill Welfare provide the opposition at the same venue, kick off 8.00pm.
