The Hi Hi’s made the short trip to Tranent last Saturday hoping to complete a league double over their near neighbours. Manager Joe Hamill made only one change to the side that drew at Fauldhouse in midweek, with Bob Berry returning at right back. Tranent’s more clinical finishing proved to be the difference between the sides as the Hi Hi’s certainly enjoyed their share of possession. Both Tranent’s first two goals were scored against the run of play and their third looked well offside. With Fauldhouse winning at Bathgate, Haddington lost ground in the fight for second place but with three out of their last four matches at home, all is not lost. The Hi Hi’s entertain Glenrothes at Millfield next Saturday and Arniston Rangers provide the opposition at the same venue on Wednesday 23rd May.
